What does it cost?
No planning fee. You pay the price of your trip, within the budget you set. Our partners pay us a commission.
Can I change things?
Before you book, swap anything you like in your plan. After booking, changes follow the conditions of each partner.
Do you really book everything?
Yes, that is the idea: flights, stays, local guides and activities, with partners we trust. You see the full proposal and approve it before anything is booked.
Is it cheaper than booking it myself?
We don't promise the cheapest price. We promise a trip that fits your budget, without the hours of searching, and money that goes to local people instead of chains.
What is early access?
A spot on the list for the first trips we build. We start small, so we invite people in batches and ask for your honest feedback in return.
Which destinations?
Portugal, Spain, Italy, Nicaragua, Jordan and Egypt, with Guatemala as a beta destination and Brazil next. Only countries where we know local people; the pilot runs in Jordan and Egypt. Tell us where you want to go when you join, it decides what comes next.
Is it invite only?
Yes, during the beta. Join the waitlist and we invite you, or ask a friend who already uses Travel Genie for their code. With a friend's code you get €100 off your first trip when you plan it with the app and book a local guide through us. And the friend who invited you gets a €100 voucher for their next trip once you book yours through the app. One per traveller, pilot conditions.
Does it really work without signal?
Yes. The travel book, your pass, the phrases with audio and your notes are stored on your phone. Expenses and notes sync when you are back online.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Travel Genie opens in your browser and you can add it to your home screen.
How does the link with my mailbox and Claude or ChatGPT work?
You choose what to connect. Bookings found in your mailbox are added to your trip. A plan you made in Claude or ChatGPT can be handed over to become a bookable proposal. You can disconnect at any time.
What happens with my data and my email?
Your email is only used to invite you. Your bookings stay yours: we use them to build your app, not to sell to others.
