Privacy policy

Last updated: 10 October 2026

This is the privacy policy of Travel Genie for the beta, the waitlist and the website.

Who we are

Travel Genie is a trip planner with local guides, still being built. The party responsible for your data (the "controller" under the GDPR) is:

The beta runs as an app inside Claude by Anthropic and as a web app at its own address. Anthropic is responsible for your Claude account itself, under its own privacy policy. If you sign in with Google, Google's privacy policy applies to your Google account. This policy covers what Travel Genie does with your data.

We only collect what we need to plan your trip, improve the beta and talk to you.

Some booking links may later earn us a small commission. That never changes your price, and we give those sites no extra data about you for it.

Data outside the EU

Anthropic, Google, Cloudflare and some email and form services process data in the United States. For this we use the safeguards the GDPR requires: the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the service is certified, or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Anthropic's data processing addendum includes those clauses. Want a copy of the safeguards? Email us.

If you send a request to a local guide or partner in Jordan, Egypt, Nicaragua or Guatemala, we send your name, email address and travel dates to that partner in that country. We do this because it is necessary to provide the service you ask for (Article 49(1)(b) GDPR).

Your rights

You have these rights under the GDPR, free of charge:

Email noah.henriquesdasilva@gmail.com. We answer within one month and may ask you to confirm your identity.

Not happy with how we handle your data? You can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels.

Cookies, AI and the rest

Cookies and local storage. The website and the app use no advertising or tracking cookies. Your trips, language and preferences are kept in your browser's local storage, because the app does not work without it. No consent is needed for that. If we ever add third-party analytics cookies, we will ask for your consent first.

AI. Your trip proposal is made by an AI model (Claude by Anthropic) from your wish. You can always see that it is an AI proposal. No automated decisions with legal effects are made about you: you decide what you book. Always check prices, opening hours and travel rules with the provider.

Children. Travel Genie is meant for people aged 16 or over. If you travel with children, you as the adult enter how many and, if you like, their ages.

Security. We limit access to your data to those who need it, use encrypted connections and keep the dashboard with usage data accessible only to the founder.

Changes. If we change this policy, you'll see the new date at the top, and for important changes we email you.

Contact. Privacy questions: noah.henriquesdasilva@gmail.com. See also our terms.
